Getting your daily CBD fix doesn't always have to involve dropping oil under your tongue! Whilst the sublingual method is popular, there are plenty of other alternative ways of ingesting your CBD.
1. CBD Hot Drinks
You'll need a nice, flavoured oil to make the best hot drinks. The first oil we sold was orange flavoured, so naturally we made quite a few orange hot chocolate and orange lattes. Always add the oil after you've made the drink and stir in - hot or boiling water poured directly on your oil will help evaporate the oil and its terpenes, making it less effective. Our new calm oil is citrus flavoured, so works really well in lemon and ginger tea. Matching flavour profiles is essential for a smoother tasting drink.
2. CBD Bakery
One of my favourite ways to incorporate CBD is into my baking! I'm well renowned in my family for my banana bread, and just a few weeks ago I made a banana bread with 15mg of CBD per slice which tasted fantastic. Simply add your CBD oil to your mixture before popping your bread, cake or cookie to the oven - you can use any traditional recipe for these!
3. CBD Smoothies & Coolers
With summer just around the corner, what better way to chill out than a CBD-laced fresh fruit smoothie? Strawberries, bananas, mango, whole milk, ice and CBD oil make for a super refreshing summer chiller. You can even add some vodka, gin or rum for an adult twist.
4. CBD Salad Dressing
Possibly the most inventive I've gotten with our new calm oil, I whipped up a salad dressing with extra virgin olive oil, diced strawberries, red wine vinegar, dijon mustard, garlic, oregano and CBD oil. You can dress any salad or sandwich in this, so it's super versatile.
